Overview

The installation of the 60" Yakima rails is the most flexible base for future mounting options.  Racks can be added later using either Yakima or Thule bases, or the tracks can be used for custom mounting or accessories like rigid solar panels.

 

NOTE: for all roof loads, keep maximum weight on the pop top roof below 100 LBs.  This rating includes the racks as well as any accessories.   Do not use the pop top roof to carry heavy items, such as fuel cans, shower water tanks or wheels. For static loads (things that are not often removed) such as solar systems, the struts should be upgraded to the heavy duty rating.

Factory installed Yakima 60" tracks allow use of Yakima Skyline towers and a range of cross bars.  The benefit of the Yakima Landing Pad system is the quick removal if racks are not needed or are too high for a parking garage.

  • It is always recommended to keeping loading on any racks within both OEM and the Yakima specifications.
  • Yakima Rack Bars, Locks ,Towers, mounts and other accessories desired are available on request for additional charge, this option is only for the tracks.
  • The use of tracks on the rear of the J30 allow the bar spread (distance between front and rear cross bar) to range between 2 to 5 feet.
